Fearless Friday – 1/17

I’m starting a new feature on my blog, Fearless Friday. It’s just what it says, Friday’s are the days when my blog posts are dedicated being fearless and opening myself up.

What better way to start then by sharing a very first vlog. I created it for the 2013 BlogHerLicious Vlog contest. This was scary for me to create (and why it’s been under wraps). Guess what happened?

video winner

Yes, I know there’s is tons that I would do differently but because I was fearless and did it, I won full registration passes to both Blogalicious 2014 AND BlogHer 2014, plus a feature on BlogHer.com and BeBlogalicious.com at some point in the year!!!  If I would have talked myself out of submitting it because it wasn’t perfect, I was a new blogger, I needed to get my hair done (all of the above are true but it was raining Tuesday and both boys were sick!), I would have never done it and saw what the outcome would have been. Stop talking yourself out of it. Be fearless and move forward.

I loved this post!! Go Kendra. I’m learning to let go of fear this year…I turned in an application to be on a food network show. CRAZY RIGHT?!?! But hey…I will never know if I don’t go for it. I don’t want to be sitting at home saying that COULD’VE been me!!

This was awesome, thanks for sharing. I too have allowed fear to stop me from doing stuff. My word for 2014 is UNAFRAID. Congrats on those two awesome wins. My one my goals is to attend a blog conference so I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for opportunities 🙂

Yes, Vee go!. Consider volunteering at a conference. It’s a great way to get in free and meet tons of people.

Great video . I firmly believe creating videos help motivate you and help you stay on track. Good luck this 2014. You can do anything you keep your mind on!

I hate doing things outside my comfort zone and I rarely do them because of that fear. I’ve really been pushing myself over the last year to change that though. However, I don’t suppose I’ll ever want to talk in front of a group! Congrats on winning those passes!

The fear of rejection and the unknown are the biggest things holding me back. I’m trying to get over it! I am also trying to do one thing that scares me each week, we’ll see how that goes!

Congratulations! At some point in life we all have to take a step out of our comfort zone and take a chance. Usually the results and outcome are far greater than we could have imagined!

Fear of the unknown and fear of rejection have haunted me my entire life. There are areas where I have improved, but its an everyday challenge. I think everything you have accomplished is pretty amazing. Congrats on the conferences. Stopping by from the SITSTribe challenge for the week!
