Mommy to Two Young Children – Mommy and Me Monday

This week I was working on my bio for a project and trying to merge a personal one with a professional one. It was a little bit of a challenge because I try to keep things professional and separate. “Mommy to two young children” doesn’t exactly scream PROFESSIONAL! But for this project, being a mommy was only an asset. It was an asset because it gave me a unique point of view that I’m sure not many other people can mimic.

In honor of that challenge, I decided that I’d participate in my friend Krystyn’s Mommy and Me Monday link-up. I’ve admired Krystyn’s link up for sometime but never participated. Since it is Juneabration, I’m in a more reflective mood and this is the picture I’m adding to the Mommy and Me Monday.

Mommy and Me Monday

I love this picture of us because it’s so many things in one and I will treasure the memories that are in it. My husband took it while we were traveling. That trip was one of my favorite’s in a long time. My husband didn’t have to work (very rare – he’s always working even on vacation most of the time) and we had just came back to our hotel from a great party. All of us were in our pj’s and the boys were just so happy. I think I’ll have it framed and placed on the wall for my bedroom. Thanks Krystan for the prompt! I smiled while writing this whole post.

Mommies out there, are you in the picture? Join us for the link-up party. Show off your pictures. We love the kids but want to see you too.

We do need to take pictures with our kids. It’s so hard not to be in them but we’re fabulous people who just happen to be there moms. We need to show them that.

I think Mommy has to define us. It is part of what we are. It is just making sure that all of the other parts of us are highlighted as well!

Plus with a name like Kendra, how can you fail?

I know. Kendra’s are cool people.
You’re right. It’s just hard to make sure we get to the balance. I feel like I’m always trying to get it right.

What a happy, sweet picture! It is truly touching.
I can relate. My hubby is a techie, and works pretty all of the time, too, so I treasure the time that we can spend as a family.
