As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his cross-hairs.
This summer’s movie to beat (according to box office watchers) is out and I wish I could say that I attended the screening of Transfomers 4 but I can’t. I was actually home with the sick first-grader. My husband was more than thrilled to take my place and this is his no spoiler review.
It was an interesting story and you can see it even if you haven’t seen the other ones without being lost. While we’ve allowed the first-grader to see the other ones, we’re on the fence about this one because of the violence. It’s not a lot more than the other movies but it’s more graphic. This one had some comedic elements but not as much as the last movie (my son loved the twin Transformers in the last one and their interactions.) There is really no sexual innuendo. The movie is long and there are some parts of the story that they didn’t need but it is a good movie. I’d have seen this over XMen if they had come out at the same time.
Since we are a Transformer-loving family from way back (my husband collected the figures as a child and my son’s birthday party this year was a Transformer theme), I thought it would only be fair to offer up a family prize pack for another Transformer-loving family.
This prize pack will include a Fandango Gift Card for any two movies (valued at $24) and a Transfomers BATTLE MASTERS 2 pack. My whole family has loved playing with the new BATTLE MASTERS (click here for a full review of the toy) and they’re the perfect way to help bring the Transformer love home even if you don’t let you little ones see the movie.
Go ahead enter the giveaway! I could help you go see it. If you’ve already seen it, let me know what you think about it.
